Welcome to the :tea:~Sweet-n-Spicy-Tea:coffeecup: Artists' Circle!

We're a group that loves all kinds of art forms! From illustration to writing and painting to artisan crafts! All of us have an individual style of art and we love it!

Our group is currently undergoing construction right now but feel free to come back and check out our gallery soon! We'll be posting SPECIAL EDITION artwork of ours here in our Artists' Circle so watch for it!

Now to introduce our official members! Our group was co-founded by *mattcha and =maeoneechan! Later *Mauguine, ~Shinigami-ka, *Themissg and ~nabari were invited to join as well! Always growing and always learning is how our circle rolls! Lets let our members give a little introduction of themselves...

Hey there! Feel free to call me Mae! I'm a 22 year old who loves all kinds of art forms! My favorite is Japanese anime/manga since its style is so eye-catching to me. The first time I saw it I wanted to learn to draw that way. But I also enjoy photography, pottery/clay making, sewing, painting, wood working, artisan crafts and anything else I can get my little hands on! I'm currently attending University for a major in International Studies with a double minor in Art and English. I've lived in Japan for 8 months my sophomore year of college and learned a basic Japanese language understanding which I hope to develop further! I also have to admit that I have a dangerous addiction weakness to sugar.

Hello, I'm Mauguine^^ I'm a 16 years old french canadian and proud of it! I started drawing a couple of years ago, and my philosophy has always been "I draw what I (want to) see". I don't like standards, I'm just having fun with exploding and abnormal colours, weird concepts, creative make-up, tattoos and what not. My style is anime-ish. I'm currently doing my last year of high school, and I plan to get a Plastic Arts DEC after graduating. My goal: to become an illustrator in a publicity agency such as Colagene [link] . For that, I'll work and struggle like a devil! I'm truly and deeply attached to all types of art, from dance to wood-carving, as it is the one thing that can make me dream.

Hey~:heart: I am TheMissG and I’m a 17 year old obsessed with art of all kinds! I’ve been drawing for almost as long as I can remember but the style that won me over was manga :heart: I can’t stand it when people talk bad about a certain kind of art because I respect and love all forms of art. I’m normally behind on things and pushing deadlines at all times, but I am currently working on my manga, a few birthday pics, and deciding a title for me story. ^_^ I’m always looking for a good critique and I’m always open to new friends. My goal: (since everyone else is listing one) is to become a manga artist, or basically any other art-based career because I LOVE this stuff :love:

Heya! Nabari de arimasu! *solute* My main obsession is shoujo manga! :heart: Yes, it's MANGA that I'm obsess about, not anime! I’m more of the traditional person and I :heart: my pencil. I’m currently exploring different traditional methods of colouring, because the computer hates me for some reason. =3= I :heart: to draw while other things are happening at the same time, which is why I tend not to listen in class. orz My high school diary and class note books are filled with drawings (and stickers! :D), and my friends enjoy reading them and adding to them, mainly because we fight over different pairings! Though those passion died down now that my friends moved towards shounen manga. :O Like many, my dream is to become a shoujo mangaka, despite the fact that I seemed to be dragged into the wrong direction by my cousin. ^^;

Wow, I was kinda worried at first that watching this place would be slightly redundant since I watch two of the people here;but that is not the case at all-especially since they post different pieces here! There are alot of people here with so much creativity and awesome randomness! :D

Right, I understand completely.
I thought that that might be the case, hence my asking. Perhaps I went about this with the wrong words anyway. I always end up being a bit too polite, almost like I'm sucking up to the people. I'm sure that you would prefer to avoid placing what would appear to be a "fan" amongst your group of peers.
Hmmm.... Shoot. But if the situation changes, not that I expect it to, I'm not going anywhere and would still love the chance.

I'm very sorry, but I don't think that will be possible..
It's not about ability or pageviews, don't worry, you got a very nice gallery and all. We're only a couple of friends who met on DA and decided to create a circle to share illustrations and do projects together. Most of us are not really popular here anyway and we just want to have fun on this account. That's why we want to keep it between friends, we're not very at ease with letting strangers join.
It's nothing personal, it's just as simple as that. Again, I'm very sorry.

I like oranges and music~~ O_O ... the only problem is I have an orange eating deficiency. It takes me about 4 oranges to get the effect of one (because I kinda destroy them during the peel process :ohnoes:)
